Dorothy Wynant annonce à son père, un riche inventeur, qu'elle a l'intention de se marier. Wynant ne s'en embarque pas moins pour le voyage qu'il a planifié, non sans assurer à sa fille qu'il sera de retour pour célébrer ses noces. Le jour de gloire approche et Wynant tarde à donner de ses nouvelles. Inquiète, Dorothy se tourne vers Nick Charles, un détective privé à la retraite, qui séjourne dans un hôtel new-yorkais avec son épouse, Nora. Charles a beau refuser de reprendre du service, l'enthousiasme de Nora et les implorations de Dorothy ont raison de ses réticences. La première d'une série fructueuse, mettant en vedette le couple de cinéma formé par Myrna Loy et William Powell, formidable. Le scénario est tiré d'un roman de Dashiell Hammett.

ReplyThe only reason I'm not %100 excited for this movie is because Spider-Man isn't in it, but not for the reason you think. The thing about is that Spider-Man is crucial part of 's character. His Yin to his Yang you can say. with no Spider-Man is just a normal Anti-Hero. The best part of 's character is his arch to villain to anti-hero. I'm still excited but not to the point where I'd see it on the first day in theaters."
