Liz est écrivain, Merry mène une vie mondaine avec son mari dont elle relate les cancans dans son roman intitulé "Riche et Célèbre". Merry est édité grâce au soutien de Liz, et connaît le succès. Six ans plus tard, alors que son couple chancelle, elle apprend la liaison de Liz et son mari.
