Eric est tiraillé entre la drogue et son aspiration à devenir écrivain. Son quotidien de toxicomane l'amène à voler, avec son ami Jeannot, pour acheter sa dose quotidienne, et à détruire sa relation avec sa petite amie, elle aussi droguée. Hanté par le désir d'écrire, Eric aspire à un monde meilleur. Le destin fait qu'il se retrouve dans un centre de réinsertion pour toxicomanes et délinquants, avec pour compagnie un certain Kamel, fatigué de voir ses proches mourir à cause de la drogue.
