Moltès, un détenu, joue chaque semaine au loto. C'est Reggio, un gardien de prison maladroit, qui valide ses bulletins. Un jour, Moltès apprend qu'il a gagné le jackpot : quinze barres !!!

Mais Reggio croit que Pauline, sa femme infirmière, est partie avec le ticket gagnant en Afrique sur un rallye.

Moltès s'évade alors de prison destination Bamako pour récupérer le billet en question. Il force Reggio à l'accompagner et se retrouve poursuivi en plein désert par Le Turc, un redoutable gangster qui veut sa peau, et Le Meg, son gigantesque garde du corps.
