Un été à Berlin. Deux amies, Katrin et Nike, habitent dans le même immeuble vieillot. Nike possède un balcon, Katrin a un fils, Ronald est chauffeur poids lourds, Tina est serveuse, Oskar et Hélène vivent seuls et sont vieux.
