Rick a été autrefois un témoin clé dans une affaire de trafic de drogues et il a été de ce fait placé sous la protection du FBI. Un jour, les hommes qu'il a envoyé en prison retrouvent la liberté, déterminés à se venger. Ceux-ci retrouvent la trace de Rick car son nouveau garde du corps est en réalité un de leurs alliés ! Il parvient à s'enfuir et part se cacher chez son ancienne petite-amie. Ensemble, ils tentent de comprendre pourquoi il n'est plus protégé.
