Aux alentours d'un territoire indien, près d'un site archéologique, un terrible monstre attaque régulièrement les habitants. Ces derniers, qui ont surnommé la bête le "Kachinawaya", s'approchent le moins possible de l'endroit maudit. Des scientifiques travaillant pour une compagnie pétrolière, et qui ignorent tout du danger qui plane sur la région, arrivent alors sur les lieux.
