En détournant la source ancestrale du village des Bastides blanches, Manon se venge de la méchanceté des habitants à l’égard de son père. Alors que les conséquences dramatiques de la sécheresse suscitent l’émoi, chacun quémande de l’aide, auprès de l’ingénieur aussi bien que du bon Dieu. À la suite d’un sermon accusateur du curé, enjoignant au village de réfléchir sur ses fautes, les langues se délient et pointent la culpabilité d’Ugolin. Ce dernier, fou amoureux de Manon, cherche désespérément le pardon.

ReplySo many questions. Hopefully this is just due to poor trailer edits, but what the hell is the tone of this movie? It's all over the place. The voice, they're going to need to tweak this or add subtitles, it took me a couple listens for some of the symbiote diologue (don't think I'm alone here). And I'm sorry guys, but these effects were terrible—specifically the CGI. Sucked me right out of it. Still face close-ups were awesome, but the lighting and movement animations... yikes. I know that gets tweaked but it's not that far away. That climax shot of him and Riz looked straight up half-finished. Hoping I'm proven wrong when it hits theaters."
