Tommy Spinelli doit livrer à ses employeurs huit têtes de malfrats fraîchement coupées. Il s'acquitte de sa mission et s'apprête à prendre l'avion pour le Mexique. C'est alors que, par un malheureux quiproquo, un étudiant en médecine s'empare du sac de Tommy, croyant que c'est le sien. A l'aéroport de Mexico, Tommy récupère ses bagages et découvre que les têtes ont été remplacées par des vêtements. Il ne lui reste plus que vingt-quatre heures pour livrer le sac avec les huit têtes et ses employeurs commencent à être quelque peu nerveux.
