Au Rajasthan, dans le nord de l'Inde, se trouve un étrange village peuplé de fantômes. Lachchi et Kishan s'y arrêtent, alors qu'ils font route vers la maison de ce dernier après s'être mariés. Là, un fantôme tombe amoureux de Lachchi. Alors que Kishan doit partir au loin pendant cinq ans afin de faire fortune, le fantôme prend les traits de l'époux et se présente à Lachchi. Mais les choses se compliquent lorsque, quelques années plus tard, Kishan réapparaît. Qui est le réel époux et qui est le fantôme ?
