Dix ans après Clerks, revoici nos employés modèles, Dante Hicks et Randal Graves, désormais contraints de travailler dans un fast-food... Avec l'humour dévastateur qui les caractérise, ils se permettent toujours les mêmes remarques salaces avec la clientèle tout en débattant pendant des heures sur le statut de George Lucas par rapport à Peter Jackson et même Jésus-Christ !
Rien ne semble donc avoir changé – jusqu'au jour où Dante annonce à son copain qu'il s'apprête à quitter la ville pour se marier... Randal organise alors une fête d'adieu, mais les événements prennent une telle tournure que les flics et les pompiers ne tardent pas à rappliquer...
