1750. La guerre entre Louis XV et Marie-Thérèse d'Autriche secoue France et Bavière. Henri La Tour, accompagné de sa troupe de comédiens ambulants, se rend en Bavière afin d'y jouer une pièce pour les armées du roi. Le roi apprécie mais le duc de Saint-Sever, fidèle au roi, n'apprécie pas la représentation pamphlétaire de La Tour et le fait fouetter à la baïonnette. Afin de régler la situation, le roi organise un duel entre les deux hommes.

    For those complaining. The special effects are not done. Every single trailer for any movie you have every seen doesnt have the cgi done when the trailer is out. \n\nThe still work on cgi, Visual effects audio ext. during this time. Maybe the cgi looks terrible when the movie is out but judging special effects on a trailer is simply stupid. If all the special effects are done then the movie would be out. Trailers are not meant to be finished projects but things to entice people into seeing the movie."
