Kate est professeur dans une école de filles d'une petite ville anglaise : âgée de 40 ans, elle est toujours célibataire. Tous les lundis, elle rend visite à deux amies, Molly, un médecin, et Janine, une inspectrice de police, pour parler de problèmes sentimentaux.

Un jour, Kate retrouve Jed, un jeune homme de 25 ans qui a auparavant été son élève. Tous les deux entament une liaison amoureuse. Comme cette relation se fait de plus en plus sérieuse, Janine et Molly décident de prendre de la distance vis-à-vis de leur amie. Mais chaque coup qu'elles portent au couple naissant semble rapprocher encore plus Kate et Jed.

I just hope it SUPER DARK, edgy and borderline too much. Kinda like Dark Knight was. Those always make the best movies. \nI could even deal with a Rated R as long as its not for crude slapstick humor like Deadpool."
