Devant l'insistance de sa soeur et de ses enfants, Erik Lund, un spécialiste de la psychologie enfantine, cède et emmène toute la petite troupe en Afrique. Leur mission : devenir bénévole et aider les animaux en voie de disparition. Hébergés dans un hôtel qui sert également de clinique vétérinaire, ils ont la désagréable surprise d'y retrouver Madame Flinth, l'ennemie jurée des enfants. Mais lorsque cette dernière est enlevée par des braconniers, tout le monde met de côté les discordes et part à la recherche de la disparue.
