En 1998, à Montréal, le "Violon rouge" est mis aux enchères. Personne ne connaît vraiment l'histoire de cet instrument fabriqué par le maître italien Bussoti. Au XVIIe siècle, ce dernier créa le violon parfait pour son futur fils. Hélas, celui-ci meurt à la naissance. Des lors, le "Violon rouge" traversera les siècles, provoquant l'adoration, la folie ou la mort des personnes en sa possession.
