Lindsey et Trevor se marient. Ils sont jeunes, beaux et ont de nombreux projets. Mais avant de les réaliser, ils partent en lune de miel pour une croisière qui les mènera à Tahiti. Trevor aime faire la fête et ne tarde pas à sympathiser avec trois jeunes Hongrois, au détriment de Lindsey qu'il délaisse. Celle-ci le lui reproche et le laisse en boîte de nuit après une dispute. Le lendemain matin, Lindsey est retrouvée en état de choc dans un couloir et Trevor demeure introuvable. Après plusieurs heures de recherches, il faut se rendre à l'évidence : Trevor est passé par-dessus bord. S'agit-il d'un accident ou d'un meurtre ? L'agent du FBI, Gwen Merced, va aider le chef de la sécurité à élucider cette affaire...
