ReplyA anti hero who actually gets to let loose hmm- wow how refreshing. has always been not only an interesting character but also a nemesis to Peter Parker. I'm not excited for many movies these days but this one looks better and better with each preview. I know Tom Hardy does his homework for the roles he takes- perhaps in a slightly different degree he and Christian Bale both have exceptional work ethic and dedication to their craft. It's too bad star wars fans can't get a movie with quality like this- it's movies like this that put the last jedi to shame. Groundwork for the story has been written in several comics lines, stick to the main ones and develop Eddie Brock, internal and external conflict can be exceptional tools in this if utilized in a specific fashion. Spider-Man can make a cameo if you want and of course running into Carnage towards the end of the film would be a great cliffhanger to end with- setting up 2 with having to team up with Parker to take down the crazy, murdering Carnage. \n\nIn sharp contrast Rey's character lacks depth and development- I guess it's hard to compare Daisy Riddley to Tom Hardy but still it reveals the flawed and pathetic writing of both the last installments of star wars. Lucas film flushed the expanded universe- they could much in similar fashion use the framework like to create a new series of movies based upon the books- there hubris and stupidity will be there undoing. The MCU has shown what a company can accomplish when things are done well- not perfectly or best picture quality but still for the most part done well. It is movies like that reveal how terrible star wars has become- it might not be an amazing movie but it might just be good- and just good is light years better than the crap were getting out of lucas film. I plan on watching - I don't get the initial impression that social justice whiners control or are pulling the strings in this film- if they were wouldn't be allowed to do have the things he does in the trailer- his girlfriend would be more the hero and Eddie would play second fiddle in a film that was supposed to showcase him. In retrospect I plan on boycotting episode IX because of how Ruined Johnson treated the fans- mocking them, trolling them and harassing them on twitter- the dude needs to be fired and banned from being involved in movies forever. Embarrassing and killing off Han and Luke and now using Carrie Fisher as nostalgia bait is sickening. and the Avengers movies are/look awesome- whereas star wars sucks because a feminist nazi Kathleen Kennedy hates men and will continue to use her power to use the star wars franchise as a political platform rather than making and developing a well thought out story."
