    The actual origin of :\nAt Battleworld, a symbiote bonded with Spiderman, giving him the black suit. When everybody went back to Earth, Spidey brought the symbiote with him and later discarded it. Meanwhile, a reporter named Eddie Brock tried tracking down a serial killer to get his first big scoop. But that same day, Spiderman caught the real killer, which caused Eddie to be fired from his job, left by his wife, disowned by his father and evicted from his apartment. He also learned he had cancer. Infuriated, Eddie blamed Spidey for ruining his life. Then the symbiote bonded with him."
