Dans l'autre, Marie recoit les siens: elle est voyante extralucide. Leon se sent pleinement heureux jusqu'au jour ou il apprend ce que Marie lui cachait par affection. Elle se prostitue et Maxime, son pretendu fiance, est son souteneur. Ce jour-la, Leon decouvre aussi l'amour sous les traits d'Arlette, jeune provinciale recueillie par Marie.
