L'Ile au trésor

Billy Bones arrive avec un large coffre à l’auberge "Amiral Benbow" et meurt après qu’un aveugle lui eut remis la "tache noire". Jim Hawkins et sa mère découvrent dans le coffre la carte de l’île au trésor du capitaine Flint. Squire Telawney équipe un navire à Bristol, et part avec le docteur Livesey, Jim et le capitaine Smollett. Long John Silver, un sympathique unijambiste, est engagé comme cuisinier. Il en profite pour recruter comme marins, plusieurs aventuriers qu’il connaît et qui sont comme lui, des pirates.
Le voyage est émaillé de divers incidents et Jim découvre une nuit que Long John Silver est décidé à s’emparer du trésor et du navire. Il avertit aussitôt le capitaine Smollett : celui-ci préfère quitter le navire avec les hommes qui lui sont fidèles. Sur l’ïle, Jim fait la connaissance de Ben Gunn qui y vit seul depuis trois ans. Trelawney, Livesey, Smollett et leurs compagnons font échec à l’attaque de Long John Silver et de ses pirates. Jim réussit à retourner sur le navire, l’Hispaniola, et à couper l’amarre. L’un des pirates, Israel Hands, tente de tuer Jim qu’il poursuit dans les vergues. Jim l’abat. Fait prisonnier, Jim est sauvé par Long John Silver qui empêche les pirates de le tuer. Silver finit par être capturé après que les pirates eurent découvert que le trésor a disparu. Celui-ci, qui se trouvait chez Gunn, est porté à bord de l’Hispaniola. Long John Silver est emprisonné. Jim l’aide à s’enfuir, sans savoir que le vieux pirate emporte avec lui une part du trésor.

ReplyLooks like it could be pretty good. I just have a hard time accepting villain films without the hero. Maybe cause it’s cause I’ve never really seen a good one. Maybe not. Maybe there is a REASON there is never been a good one. I hope I’m dead wrong. We’ll see. I just feel like the Villain needs the hero just as much as the Hero needs the Villain. To me they seem to go hand in hand."
