Bien des années après les glorieuses aventures qui ont fait de lui un héros connu de tous, Robin des Bois continue à œuvrer pour l'Angleterre et le roi Richard cœur de Lion. Mais celui ci est à l'agonie, et lègue son trône à son fils illégitime, le prince Philippe. Le prince Jean, qui soumet l'Angleterre à un régime de terreur, ordonne l'assassinat de celui-ci pour s'emparer du trône. Grâce à sa fille Gwyn, aussi impétueuse que lui, Robin parviendra t-il à sauver le dernier espoir de justice de l'Angleterre ?
