Le réalisateur Able Whitman est abattu par l'accueil négatif que les critiques réservent à son dernier film. Dans une boîte de strip-tease où il part noyer son désarroi, Able rencontre une danseuse qu'il ramène chez lui. Mais sur le chemin, complètement saoul, le réalisateur perd le contrôle du véhicule. Il sort indemne de l'accident mais la jeune femme meurt sur le coup. Able a, alors, l'idée de dissimuler le corps en le faisant passer pour un accessoire sur le tournage de son prochain film d'horreur.
