Comme dans l'Odyssée, c'est en mer Egée que l'aventure d'Elias, notre héros sans légende, commence. Sur la même mer, sous le même soleil et le même ciel qu'à l'aube de la civilisation. Après bien des péripéties, dont une escale au paradis et un bref séjour en enfer, son épopée finit magiquement à Paris. Paris, que chaque errant voit briller au plus profond de ses rêves dans son sommeil incertain.
