Au printemps de l'année 1936, David, jeune chômeur désenchanté de Liverpool, estime qu'il n'a plus d'avenir en Angleterre. Sur un coup de tête, il décide de se rendre en Espagne afin de rallier les forces républicaines qui luttent contre les troupes franquistes. Incorporé dans une section clandestine combattant en Aragon, David tombe immédiatement sous le charme de la belle Blanca. Impliquée corps et âme dans ce conflit, elle n'a d'yeux que pour Coogan, ancien activiste irlandais. Par maladresse, David précipite la mort de ce dernier. Blessé, il est rapatrié à Barcelone. Là, il s'inquiète pour Blanca. Avec «Land and Freedom», le cinéaste engagé Ken Loach récoltait le César du meilleur film étranger en 1996.

ReplyI’m actually very open minded to see where they are going with this movie, aside from it not being in the MCU I’m definitely going to see it because it looks insanely intriguing!
