Son monde tourne autour de son père et de ses deux frères qui l'aiment et le protègent en retour. Jusqu'à ce que Maximo rencontre Victor, un policier honnête et séduisant. Ils deviennent amis. Victor encourage Maximo à se construire une vie meilleure, ce qui déclenche la colère de sa famille...
